The Reading Room Indiranagar

About this cafe

The noise sits at a level most people stop noticing after ten minutes. It gets busy first thing and is quietest after ten. The coffee needs work. Weekend hours are shorter, closing at 5pm.

Third visit this month. Plenty of plugs if you sit by the wall. Never struggled for a seat.

Came in on a Wednesday to get through notes for a talk. Skip the coffee. Staff started clearing my table pointedly after the second hour, which made it hard to settle.

Does the job well. Use the laptop network, it's quicker than the main one. Sockets run along the walls. The filter coffee was thin and bitter, so I switched to tea after the first one.

Finally tried this place. Huge room. The WiFi stayed reliable the whole time I was there, which is all I really ask of a café.

Worked from here on a Tuesday morning, plus the WiFi was solid for everything I threw at it, including a long upload at the end. It's a big room with plenty of tables, so I never worried about being asked to give up my seat, but coffee isn't great. Sit by the wall if you need power.
